Somewhere exists two sisters
with an unbreakable bond
With beauty so rich and wild
Who’s love for one another is rooted so deep
Like a mother to her child.
Two sisters, who embody all the great virtues of relationship
nurture, care
Beauty, intimacy
Truth, vulnerability
Love, safety.
Precious sisters
Their love is like that of the moon and the sea
Dependent, never-changing
And infinite
It is not known when these sisters appeared
If they are of blood or of stranger
But what is known is this
They are the ever constant symbol of what it means to be connected
Who follow the dawn to come together
And only leave when the wolf howls.
A continuous dance.
But there always comes a day
Where the sun turns up, and division follows
Seeking to destroy the holiness they hold
For they exist in a world full of evil and chaos
Of hate and brokenness my
Antithetical to their sisterhood.
And they are well aware
This struggle is not new
But it is just as hard as when division came the time before.
For when it comes, it is gut wrenchingly painful.
But they also know that in each other
They are safe
That in each other there is something more powerful than fear
It is stronger than division
And it is their love for one another.
A love that exists past the physical, past the emotional
A love that overcomes, that understands
A love that grows, that nurtures
A love that is truly limitless and blind
A love that is only unnatural to us because of its perfection
And it is this love that ties them together
That continues to make the other beautiful
A love that is precious
A love that is sacred
A love that can only be
Sisterhood
